Never try and apply more pressure. You will only damage the tool, or your press. When a collet is closed it has finished the forming of the crimp. The Lee FCD allows for less crimp by less closure of the collet. That can be nice for belling removal, or to close up what an "M Die" has flared into the case mouth. Here I was doing complete crimping. I have since decided to not perform this with my cast bullets, only jacketed bullet loads.
